It's now been well over a year since the Fitbit Versa launched, leaving many to wonder when Fitbit might launch its next smartwatch in the Versa family. We don't know exactly when that'll happen, but thanks to a new leak, we do know what the device will look like.
Several images of the Fitbit Versa 2 have leaked out, showing a smartwatch that has similar design to the original Versa but with a couple of notable tweaks. While the Versa 2 has the same square shape as the Versa, the new model appears to ditch the two buttons on the right side of the original Versa, leaving it with a single button on the left side.
One of the leaked images from Evan Blass shows the phrase "How can I help?" with an Amazon Alexa logo, suggesting that the Fitbit Versa 2 will include some kind of support for Amazon's Alexa voice assistant.
Finally, we can see that the back of the Versa 2 is home to its heart rate sensor and charging pins.
Fitbit is one of the best known names in fitness wearables, and so there will surely be interest in this new Versa 2 smartwatch when it arrives. It'll be interesting to see what kind of new features Fitbit has crammed into the new Versa and what kind of Alexa functionality it has to offer, so hopefully it won't be long before the new wearable is made official.
