Verizon Wireless San Diego, CA Coverage

Posted on: August 22nd, 2006 by Yolanda Ochoa

The good: They have the widest coverage and the quality of the sevice is most of the time great. Way better than all the other carriers. The bad: I get so many dropped calls or their service is fuzzy and doesn't carry to well across coastal areas.Summary: Verizon Wireless is really expensive but worth the money. What i do hate are the amounts of dropped calls I get!

Verizon Wireless

Posted on: August 17th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: Overall reliable cell serviceThe bad: Poor customer serviceSummary: While I am happy with Verizon wireless as far as the acutal cell service goes, I am not at all happy with their customer service. Accessories ordered never arrive, warranty claims have been denied, different answers are given by different representatives and for a telephone company they have way too many problems with their phone service. It can take a week to get through to their customer service division as calls get disconnected during transfer or a recording states there is a problem.

Verizon- works where other services have no service

Posted on: August 17th, 2006 by Dee Wolters

The good: I have never been without service with Verizon. Most visitors to our farm don't get service. The bad: A bit more expensive, but worth it.Summary: We use Verizon because my husband's company uses it. But it was a great choice for our rural area. No other service has coverage at our house. I have traveled coast to coast and never been with out service. Commercials are really true, more coverage in more areas.

$100 Credit For Cell Phone New every 2

Posted on: August 16th, 2006 by Linda Becar

The good: You get a new cell phone for freeThe bad: You have to pay for the cell phone and then you get a rebate in the mail.Summary: I recently went to my local Verizon Wireless store to get my new cell phones. Come to find out when I picked my phone and the paperwork was done they wanted me to pay $50 on top of the $100 credit, for a phone that was only $79, I thought this was really rediculious when you can go online and purchase the phone with no rebate requirement and free shipping. I was quite upset to say the least and the store manager told me that they charge everyone $50 then they get a rebate in the mail. It's Verizons policy to do this and it really made me rethink about having this carrier, but unfortunately this is the only carrier that has the towers around here. Verizon is an ok company, but I think like others they have just gotten too big and are getting too much of an monopoly on the industry.

Cell Phone Service

Posted on: August 16th, 2006 by Dianne Hellekson

The good: In the larger populated areas, cell phone coverage is great. The bad: I live in a very rural area, from home I have great service but travel out of town just a few miles and I can go for many, many miles with no cell phone service whatsoever!Summary: I would like to see more towers or whatever they have to do so that there is not so many dead spots in rural South Dakota.

Still have dropped calls

Posted on: August 16th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: By far the best coverage of any of the national options. The bad: I still have places with no services. Two spots are along major highways.Summary: I've reported the spots where I still miss calls. One spot is on 441 South, the other on 23/74 in Balsam. Although I understand dead spots are part of living in a rural area, these spots where coverage is lost is unacceptable along two such major highways.

Can you hear me now?

Posted on: August 16th, 2006 by Hillary Dovel

The good: Wide range of cell phones/features.The bad: Constant dropped calls and frustrations.Summary: Long story short, I'm locked into a 2-year agreement with a cell phone that only gets coverage outside my home or near the windows at best. Ever try talking long-distance for an hour and unable to move? Argh!
