T-Mobile Review for Miami-Dade County

Posted on: August 14th, 2006 by Laila Abdullah

The good: Free mobile to mobile minutes. The bad: No plan/provision for carrying over unused minutes.Summary: T-Mobile's free mobile to mobile minutes amount to great savings. Sometimes we use more minutes in a month of service and at other times we do not. So not having any provision for carrying over unused minutes is a disadvantage.

T-mobile Review for Miami Area

Posted on: August 13th, 2006 by Saqib Rokadia

The good: Cheapest plans available and one year service contractThe bad: Poor reception in buildingsSummary: T-mobile offers the cheapest plans of all major cell phone carriers. Also, T-mobile offers one year contracts while most other major carriers only offer two or more. However, T-mobile does have frequent dropped calls when calls are made within buildings.

T-Mobile, Horrible Experience

Posted on: August 13th, 2006 by Ethen Yi

The good: Lots of minutes for a cheap priceThe bad: Reception is horrible, customer service is not helpful, tons of dropped callsSummary: The only PRO for T-Mobile is that you get plenty of minutes for a great low price. The CONS is a huge list...The reception is horrible everywhere. I go into a movie and I lose reception, I go into my own house and lose reception. I also have dropped calls at least 2-3 times A DAY! That's ridiculous!!

T-Mobile Service and Coverage

Posted on: August 11th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: Great customer serviceOnly one year contract requiredThe bad: Poor coverage areaPoor receptionSummary: I signed up for T-Mobile in Feb '06 and have experienced trouble from the start of my service. I have trouble getting my calls connected (typically 1 or 2 bars only) and when they do connect the reception is poor. I've had many people say they can't hear or understand me. I've contacted T-Mobile and they have tried to be very helpful (replaced my phone at no charge) but the problem persists.

T-Mobile is great for family plans

Posted on: August 9th, 2006 by Sarah Peterson

The good: Fairly inexpensive, up to 6 usersThe bad: Cell phone service minimal outside of citiesSummary: This service is truly wonderful for family plans, because you can call any T-mobile phone for free. It is great if you live in a city, but their coverage area is not always reliable in more rural areas or near camping sites. However, it does work very well indoors and the reception is very clear in most places. The customer service is great too. They are very nice and helpful and respond to your requests in a timely fashion.

Good customer service, poor sound quality.

Posted on: August 9th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: Customer service is very willing to help you out. You can talk to someone without too long of a wait. The bad: Does not get service in all areas, many "black hole" spots downtown Chicago, very difficult to understand person on other end of line (I have gone through three phones with T-Mobile now, it's not the phones, it's the service).Summary: I am pleased with T-Mobile and use it as my primary phone. My only issue is the quality of sound provided by their service, it is very difficult to understand the person on the other end. It is a connection issue, something about their service. But, if you don't mind saying "What?" throughout your conversations, go with T-Mobile. They are willing to work with you and without much hassle.

Bad T-mobile signal in Staten Island

Posted on: August 8th, 2006 by Bingwu Yu

The good: Comparing with other cell phone carrier, I didn't see any advantage of T-mobile.The bad: Very bad signals in Staten Island. Staten Island is one of New York City's 5 borough. But often I can't get good signals. I must put my cell phone near windows to receive signal or I'll miss calls. I must go outside to make telephone call, even though, very often voice is off and on. Line drops during conversation. I am living in Staten Island, so I know of T-mobile's poor signals in many area. Many of my friends changed their carrier and I think I'll definitely change mine as well.Summary: Bad signals at least in Staten Island, NY. So anyone from Staten Island should not use T-mobile after hearing of my bad experience. I still have to wait another 3 months to finish my current 1 year plan.

You Get What You Pay For

Posted on: August 6th, 2006 by Sana Rokadia

The good: Cheap plans and friendly customer serviceThe bad: Poor coverage in the Florida areaSummary: T-mobile offers the cheapest plans of all major cell phone carriers. In addition, my personal experience with the T-mobile customer service representatives has been positive. They have been helpful and pleasant to deal with. However, the quality of the T-mobile network has been poor. I constantly experience service disruptions and dropped calls.

T-Mobile Coverage

Posted on: August 5th, 2006 by Rick Kruger

The good: When you are in a heavily populated area, you can get some receptionThe bad: Very bad reception, overall a bad experienceSummary: I currently have T-mobile as my cell provider. When I purchased the phone, I was shown a map telling me that I would get at least 1-2 bars of reception steadily where I lived. I was happy with that, and I signed up for a 2yr contract, which was my first wrong move. When I had gotten home, I realized that I had gotten zero to one bars of reception. I was truly disappointed, but I needed a cell phone, so I gave it a chance. Later in the week, I went out to a local mall with friends, and when we were walking around, I only got at tops, four bars when I was lucky. At the same place, my friend with Cingular Wireless had full reception. There have been many cases where my friends phones beat mine in reception, and when I decided I needed to switch phones maybe, due to a bad antenna on my model type, the customer service said I could only exchange for the same phone. Now I am stuck with a terrible service for another year and nine months.:-(
