Horrible. Dont waste your time or money!

Posted on: December 28th, 2011 by Anonymous

You dont have good service on your phone, so the phones cut out alot. you CANNOT contact anyone when you have a question(just the machince) I felt like they do not care about anything but a quick dollar... i NEVER write reviews on any company, but i feel like this is necessary! I dont want anyone to get taken advantage of like i did. if your looking to start a new phone, my advice would be to avoid boost at all cost. even cricket is better than them . I moved on the Verizon, and Boost is in NOOOO comparison with them! -steph

Customer service is crap

Posted on: December 27th, 2011 by Kevin Sheridan

I had been with boost for 5 years, and yes the price is good. But as others have stated there customer service is garbage. I was told I had never signed up for the shrinkage plan, yet every time I call the automated line it comes up I am, also they never get the right ending to my credit card till 3 months before I quit the serivce due to the previous issue. I was also told that I had changed my plan to a daily plan yet I never authorized anyone to change my plan.

HORRIBLE CHEATS!!!

Posted on: December 26th, 2011 by Beverly Kirk

After having purchased a boost mobile phone, activating it I was told they did not have service in my area!!! They gave me a phone number and everything! Then refused to refund my 53.00 I paid for the service plan or give me documentation stating that they did not provide service in my area so I could get my money refunded on a charge back through my credit card. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT USE BOOST MOBILE. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!!!

My Boost Mobile Horror Story

Posted on: October 7th, 2010 by Yossarian N.

The good: Strong signal, plan pricesThe bad: HORRIBLE SERVICE REPS, UNDERHANDED TACTICSSummary: The customer service for the company is horrible. I had called and asked about a refund for money I just paid that day and to see about switching me plan. The first rep(REP ID QZ281626) said, I can not do refunds. Not that the company doesn't. So, confused on her answer I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor said I will give you a refund for the balance in your account since we can not give you a refund for the payment just made. She transferred me to the Processing Department. The rep there(John, REP ID 0011) told me that Boost Mobile does not give refunds. I said I don?t understand why the supervisor told me they would be its whatever, nothing anyone can do, I will deal. But then the first rep called me to harass me and say "haha, I told you you can't get a refund". I called back to complain and sent a email to them regarding it. The two days later a rep(Melissa, REP ID CR894942) called me ask said we will give you a refund because of what happened. But once transferred to the Processing Department, the rep there(Julian, REP ID 0992) and her supervisor(Colleen, REP ID 0684) told me that despite the fact I was called as told that i would be getting a refund that they could not give me one. I was switched back to customer service where the rep( Marge REP ID 1337619) once again said yes you are suppose to be getting a refund and switched me back to the Processing Department where the rep(Brandon, REP ID 10607) where once again I was told I would not be getting a refund. I emailed them about what amounted to a slap in the face they gave me by calling me and saying they would refund me due to there rep using my customer information to call me and then saying no not even 10 minutes later. I got a call two days later from a rep(Mary, REP ID CR527602) who said that Boost does not give refunds. I explained to her that I was told because of their reps actions I would be getting one despite policy. I then talked to her supervisor(Tracy, REP ID CR554135) who told me that despite the fact that yes it is listed on my file to give me a refund that because the Processing Department and Customer Service does not share files and notes that Processing could not see that Customer Service had given the ok to refund me. She also said in a very bitchy way that no she would not talk to the Processing department to get me my refund. That despite being promised a refund by Customer Service(who can't give refunds but can give the ok to give them) that the Processing department did not have to give it to me and they didn't have to make them. They are set up in a way that one department can tell you that will do something knowing that the other does not have to honor it.

SWITCH TO BOOST!!!!! STOP WASTING MONEY!!!!!

Posted on: July 28th, 2010 by asf asdf

The good: LOW COST!!!!! NO HIDDEN FEES!!!!NO CONTRACT!!!!Great coverage, Unlimited talk/txt to any carrier, Unlimited Internet/Email Access, Great phone(I have the Sanyo Incognito)Best phone service ever- I am totally impressedThe bad: None that I can think of...possibly a cheaper quality handset than the average on the market but I have absolutely no complaints with mine. I love itSummary: I always believed the big guys like verizon and att had the best coverage - not true. I had verizon for several years and the bill kept increasing. I didn't have unlimited talk and I didn't even have a data plan and was paying almost $100 bucks a month!!! It was ridiculous. I switched to boost for a few weeks before cancelling with verizon. I was soooo happy with service for the price. I can go on facebook, email, google, google maps, talk/txt anyone on any carrier for 50 bucks a month. The service is excellent. I have only lost a call once or twice since I started. Most every call - to verizon, sprint, att are all crystal clear. I cancelled with verizon, it was a no brainer.

terrible service boost mobil coverage/ Creative billing with Verizon

Posted on: July 10th, 2010 by James James

The good: Boost Mobil; Inexpensive cost without hidden fees. VS. Verizon wireless; good coverageThe bad: Boost Mobil has terrible terrible coverage even in areas of proposed good coverage. VS. Verizon wireless creative billing practicesSummary: I am not joking, boost mobil drops or breaks up half the calls i make or receive. I have had text messages and voice mail that arrive days later. now they are trying to correct the problem by offering to sell me an external antenna that attaches to the back of the phone. this phone company is unreachable and irresponsible. and as soon as verizon gets with the realistic money program I am going back to them because they have good service, but verizon has creative billing practices, they will screw you if you go over on your plan. They could easily send a courtesy text message when a customer is at the limit of their plan but they play dumb about it. Verizon customer service told me they couldn't possibly monitor all of their customers plans and minute usage. I told the customer service person that i understood that he was not responsible for policy but that someone in his company had made that B.S. choice and he had to take a hard line about it. He then went on to inform me that the program is available if I set it up in my phone. Make up your mind... just do it for us as a service like offering free ring tones or voice mail or texting, But it was to late I had already decided to fire Verizon thats right I fired Verizon, that sounds odd but it is true. I may hire them back some day... or not. the problem is this: Verizon does not want to loose a line item in the profits. but it will cost Verizon more when they loose hundreds of thousands of customers families like my microscopic 4 member family . Hay Verizon your a telecommunications company you can text your customers we are not foolish we are poor do not confuse the two . For now its Boost (Sucks) Mobil. Im going to try the antenna. lol

BOOST MOBILE OVERALL SERVICE

Posted on: June 28th, 2010 by ARTHURO ALCORTE

The good: CHEAP, UNLIMITED MINUTES, INTERNET USAGE WHICH IS BECOMING MORE USABLE, ANDROID IS A BIG +++++The bad: INTERNET SERVICE ON CERTAIN HANDSETS ARE LIMITED, POOR SERVICE IN WAL-MARTS LOLSummary: OVERALL THE BOOST MOBILE SERVICE IS GREAT FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO DON'T WANT TO PAY OVER $50 FOR UNLIMITED SERVICE. THE ANDROID GIVES AN OPPORTUNITY TO ENJOY THE ADVANTAGES OF A HIGH TECH (APPS, INTERNET BROWSING, VIDEO STREAMING)DEVICE AT A LOW MONTHLY PRICE INSTEAD OF PAYING OVER $100 LIKE OTHER CARRIERS. NOT AS GOOD OVERALL AS OTHERS BUT SUFFICIENT FOR ME. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Boost mobile

Posted on: May 31st, 2010 by David Sohn

The good: great plan cheaper than the big guys. The bad: did not work in Podunk TN.. lolSummary: All in all i love boost. and at the time you called the rant probably wasnt available. However the rant is a diferent type of phone it does not take sim cards. kinda like the new blackberry does not use them either. however you can use ANY used, new, or refurbished boost or nextel phone with the boost service. I am currently using a blackberry 1700I with my boost service... my wife has the rant and our old phones were the clutch... all pretty good phones and service..

I love it

Posted on: April 22nd, 2010 by Victoria nona

The good: Great Price The bad: Not a lot of phone selection but that is starting to changeSummary: I have had boost mobile for over a year now and have never had any real issues....infact when I was with contact carriers I had issues every week. They dont have a lot of selections with phones but that is starting to change. I have the BlackBerry curve and it works great. I rearly lose signal and the areas that I do are complete dead spots for all carriers in this location. I know some people do have poor service with boost but not every service works for everyone, some locations get better service with certain carriers only----like with any purchase with any phone/carrier--you need to check your coverage for your area and if you dont then DON'T COMPLAIN its your own fault!
