Cingular is just like everything else.

Posted on: August 5th, 2006 by Vijoy Prasad

The good: Large company, good customer service. The bad: Poor reception at times, dropped calls (despite their advertising).Summary: Cingular portrays itself as a reliable company with good reception and fewer dropped calls. Ive had service with Sprint and Verizon and Cingular is just as bad. Their service is almost archaic in a way because I get dropped calls every 3 or 4 calls. Not good.

Cell Phone Service: Good and Bad

Posted on: August 5th, 2006 by Kimberly McAtee

The good: Hardly any dropped calls, great plan, very economicThe bad: Hard to pick up service sometimesSummary: My carrier hardly ever drops my calls, (as you may have seen advertised in their commercials) however, service is difficult to get in all locations. Sometimes, in my own home (I don't use my land line) I can't pick up a signal, which is frustrating to say the least.

Cingular Wireless - A consumers opinion

Posted on: August 5th, 2006 by Stephen Hand

The good: Good SignalAcceptable Customer SupportThe bad: Higher than average pricesText messages take a while to deliverSummary: Overall, I find the quality of service quite adequate for my needs, however the service is considerably more expensive than other providers that I have used. The customer support is excellent, and they will go out of their way to please a customer, even if they have to give you a free month of service.Overall, I'd recommend it.

Not worth it!

Posted on: August 5th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: Cingular to Cingular is free! The bad: Absolutely no signal and calls gets disconnected often!Summary: Ive been using the Cingular service for a year and a half now and Ive had nothing but problems with the service. I get absolutely no signal in my house. The person on the other end really has a tough time as I keep breaking up and vice versa. Also, If I am speaking to someone with a cingular connection, I almost always get disconnected after about 10 minutes. Not sure why..but the service is bad and I will never use it again!

Cingular Wireless Review

Posted on: August 5th, 2006 by miles schaefer

The good: ?Great Service?Great Phone Variety to choose fromThe bad: ?Voice on the other line echoes sometimes?People I talk to complain about my voice echoingSummary: All around Cingular Wireless is a great cell phone carrier. They really don't have any dropped calls as they claim, and I do get "More Bars in More Places." I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who was unsure of which carrier to get.

Crappy Dorm Service

Posted on: August 5th, 2006 by B. Phan

The good: Great looking phones. There's a reallly nice selection of flip and non-flip phones, which is hard to find with other carriers. The bad: Crappy service everywhere you walk unless you go into the city. The reps won't be able to help you, they'll end up trying to convince you to buy a new phone with a better range.Summary: As a freshman in dorms, you can't really be trusted as an adult in the eyes of a parent. That's why they get you a phone to make sure you're being the good student by calling you every day under the guise of making sure you're okay. But with Cingular service, you are bound to be able to avoid this tedium b/c the service won't work for you! Within my dorm, I was lucky to have 1 [one] service bar--and only when I was standing next to the window at some odd angle on my earpiece. When I tried to go outside my dorm room, still no service until I left the vacinity of the campus.

Cricket

Posted on: August 5th, 2006 by Timothy Hoar

The good: Unlimited incoming and outgoing calls. The bad: I am unable tosecure a dial tone at work, which is less than 1/4 mile from my home.Summary: I am very upset about the $50 replacement fee for a new phone, when I already pay a monthly insurance fee to cover this happening. Aside from the coverage area not being usable at my work, there are many parts of Lake Erie which I frequent in the summer where coverage is non existent. These ares on Cricket's master map show they should have coverage. Customer "no" service is impossible to reach.
