The Worst!

This company is no good. I've been with this company for 10 years and I'm done.. Well I was done about 4 years ago and still haven't changed, just need to vent. I just really, really, REALLY despise this company and their team of robot customer service people. ahhh!!

AVOID! SCAMMERS!! THEY'LL LIE TO GET A SALE!!!!

On February 18th I called AT&T to get wireless internet for my house, when speaking to the sales representative over the phone she offered me a deal for U-verse as well. They were giving 3 months of free premium channels but after 3 months I would have to pay the full price .Before purchasing the deal I repeatedly asked and verified that I would not have a contract with the U-verse plan but I that I would have a contract with my Internet plan. I once again verified the information that I could cancel my U-verse plan without being penalized with an early termination fee and the sales representative reassured me I could cancel the U-verse at any time without having a contract and without being charged for a termination fee as long as I kept my Internet services on for one year. So about a month ago I called AT&T and asked to cancel my plan with U-verse, the AT&T representative then informed me I had a contract with U-verse and if I cancelled I would have to pay a termination fee. I knew what I had spoken about with the woman I initially agreed to purchase the deal with and it was the complete opposite of what this representative was telling me, so I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor got on the phone and told me that I was right I did not have a contract with U-verse and at the time I wanted faster internet so the supervisor sold me the plan for a faster service and cancelled my U-verse plan. I called today to inform them my credit card was lost and I asked for the representative to review my bill, she stated I still had U-verse so I asked to cancel it and informed them of the previous situation I had, it then escalated to management. The manager gets on the phone 30 minutes later and is not cooperative at all. I begged for them to listen to the call and get back to me to verify what was said, and the manager tells me not all the calls are recorded and he can't pull up my call. He refused to help me or remove the unauthorized charges they put on my account. I was scammed and lied to.

Customer service is none existant

I can't believe how unprofessional the staff is. My phone LCD (not the screen) cracked for some unknown reason. I went to get it replaced at the AT&T store and they sent me to their repair center to get it replaced assuring me that they would have a replacement. I get to the AT&T repair center and they stated that they do not carry the Galaxy S4 32GB and that I would have to call Phone Claim... I call phone claim and I order a replacement 32GB and they send me a 16GB Galaxy S4... I send it back and have to wait 6 days for it to get back to them... I wait the 6 days then call and they state that they received the phone and that the right version will be sent to me and arrive within 2 business days. It's been two business days and no phone... I call PhoneClaim and they stated that the phone has not been shipped... I ask why and they said it was not approved.. The lady on the phone sensed my stress and anger (I guess) and decided to speak to her manager and gets the phone shipped... (supposedly) we will see what happens... Service Sucks!!!

Just ridiculous!

My grandma has been an att customers for years. I went into the store off of Ridge rd in Rockwall and bought a brand new lg optimu g on July 9. After paying full price for this phone I also bought a 32$ charger. I hadn't even had the phone for a month and ended up droping it from knee hight. The front screen was cracked and the digitizer wasn't working. When i went up there I was recomended to another person to fix the screen because it was 200$ to replace with the insurance. They said those were my only options. It ended up costing me 200$ to get the screen fixed anyways. I asked them if they had a case for my phone when i purchesed it and they said they didnt have any. I just find it completely ridiculous that they can't help me at all after the crazy amount of money I spent on the day of the purchase. You would think they would be more willing to help me and work with me via the circumstances. I will never recomend att to anyone i know or meet.

AVOID ATT AT ALL COST

We have been a business customer for 12 years for phone, long distance, and internet; and after finally getting sick of them refusing to send a technician to check our lines and idiotic customer service we went with a slightly more expensive national carrier. It always takes forever to get a human being on the phone and they are rarely helpful. Our phone would go out intermittently and they would run an automated check on the lines that said they were fine, so they wouldn't send anyone. Even though we had no phone service. I finally was able to get them to send a technician who had to replace the lines that ran from the pole to the office because they were so badly corroded and poorly installed in the first place. The customer service reps can only tell you what is printed on the bill (like I can't read it myself) and sometimes not even that much. More than once I've called with a question and they could only tell me to wait until the bill was generated and mailed and call back then. I have called after the billing date, but before it had been mailed and they said the same thing despite the fact that it was clearly in the system. We just got a final bill that included an early termination fee of $165 and they called me unethical when I asked them to remove it, or even back date the bill to the renewal date (one month) to bill us at the regular non-contract rate. I asked if it was unethical that the early termination fee was never once mentioned when I cancelled service and they said they have no obligation to tell me what I should already know because it was in some small print section of the contract. HORRIBLE! Pay a little extra with ANYONE but these people to get good customer service, better internet speeds, reliable phone service, and a little loyalty for long term contracts.

ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IMAGINABLE!!! AVOID ATT AT ALL COSTS!!!

I have recently handed my old number to my son and have gotten a new number for myself. The experience that I encountered is simply indescribable by words due to how horrific it was. Coherency is one attribute that every single ATT employee lacks due to their small mental capacity. They refuse to cooperate with all forms of speech involving normal talking, yelling, or even listening. My son has retained his unlimited data plan since I bought him his first iPhone and due to the fact that ATT no longer offers unlimited data, this plan has stayed in our possession. His old number had this plan, and ATT simply refuses to transfer the plan to his new number, or in other words, my old number. The task is very simple; however, the unprofessional work habits of ATT make this process nearly impossible and my frustration and irritation towards this idiotic company continues to grow. I purchases his new phone with the belief of the number and plan transferring easily but unfortunately this was not the case. ATT can easily be juxtaposed to a mafia whereas once an individual enters, they cannot leave. Instead of informing me with this information PRIOR to the purchase, they decide to let me know after the phone is already bought. These tactics used by ATT literally tricks customers into signing the two- year contracts and being stuck with them. There is no way out and a simple way to get pulled in. Specifically, I am very dissatisfied with Ryan W. Thompson who is the assistant store manager at 895 Foothill Blvd, Suite D, La Canada, Ca 91011. He is absolutely rude and has no reason for negotiation what so ever. My level of anger wishes this employee to get fired and hopefully ATT can teach itself a crucial lesson in not throwing customers into a whirling abyss with no way out. My name is Marina and if ATT thinks that I will stop here, I am dearly sorry. I will continue my persistence and dedication in achieving my goal. ATT is horrible and I should have NEVER signed a contract with these clowns.

Customer Service is bullshit.

Been customers with them for as long as I can remember (I am 17). Had DSL 1.5 mb/s for the longest time. Have to upgrade our hardware because at&t was upgrading theirs. Guy who came out to install our stuff did a crap job. So bad that this box he installed in our wall literally just fell out if you touched it. He got the internet working but the phone wasn't working. He said he would send in a work order so someone could come out later that day to fix it. Never came. Next day, a guy came out. Fixed our system with limited knowledge. Phone works, internet works, everything is fine.... Except. Our IP for our internet is messed up. Our computer stuff has no idea where we are in the world. This means our devices won't work properly due to copy write stuff that is only allowed in certain countries and our phone line has a terrible buzz in it now. We had two more guys come out a few days later. They tried to help us with our IP. We weren't even aware of the buzz in the phone line. So, today, I've spent an hour and a half, painstakingly going through their machine, trying to actually talk to a person. Whenever I do, they can't help me and send me to someone else who also can't help me. Finally, I get to the specialists. Above the tier 2 guys. And of course, it's an Indian lady that doesn't speak English all that well. She doesn't really understand me half the time and tells me that she's just gonna go get a specialist. Wait for like 10 minutes on hold. When they get back, they're both talking at once and I'm confused as hell. Then they asked me a question at the same time. Tried my best to understand it and realized that I would have to be charged for further service. Forget it. I don't wanna pay for something I didn't break.

I could not be more DISSATISFIED

In March I was talked into converting my service to a business service at an ATT store. I have always used my phone for my business, he made it sound like a good idea. So I said sure. The beginning of an account nightmare. It has taken days of calls and hours of being put on hold to get my account straight. Finally after 3 months it is relatively straight. During the original ATT store visit, ATT purchased back my used phone and gave me a credit of $61 on a card that resembled a credit card. Great. Try and spend it. What they don't tell you is you must go to an ATT store to spend it. So that has taken another 3hr marathon of phone calls, a trip to the store 20 minutes away which was packed and I didn't have an hour to stand and wait so I left. Figured I come back to the office and purchase something on the ATT site, I was told when I got the card I could do that. NOT. No can do. ATT just doesn't have their crap together. The people at their stores tell you anything to get you into the contract and sign on the dotted line. If you are thinking of using them run!!!! This afternoon I got angry enough to say OK, cancel my contract. Sure says ATT Supervisor Eric Wirzberg, here are the fees on our 54 business lines: $727 and the ATT supervisor Eric Wirzberg actually smirked on the phone at me when he told me. CUSTOMER SERVICE SINKS! They take your money and give you crappy service. The review should really read ZERO.

Over Billed by four score !

I took a plan which included four lines and unlimited talk and text and data for $350 a month,However when I got my first bill it was $1,250.00. I called to ask why but never recieved a straight answer! Stay away or you will loose all your money and most likely end up cussing some guy from India out !

ATT has always been pleasant and always helped me out when I had to pay late. I am very pleased with their service and trying to accommodate me due to a medical situation that caused me to be late with payment.
