Cingular Cell Phone Service Review

Posted on: August 30th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: great customer service. very few dropped calls. user friendly website. The bad: wait time for customer service is too long. rate plans are not the most competitive. text and multimedia plans are very overpriced!Summary: I am pleased with the service to my phone. Cingular has adequately resolved any issues I have had in the past. The website is useful and easy to navigate. The 'hold' time for to talk with a representative is always too long. I also believe the rate plans are not competitive. The multimedia add-on does not have enough options to choose from. The text message plan also suffers the same flaw.

I like cingular wireless! I would recommend it to all. Read what they offer..you get to pick and choose what you want on your phone. The plans are reasonably and nice.

The good: Most areasThe bad: several areasSummary: I have really good coverage in most areas. There are several areas that I have no coverage at all. There are no cell towers of any kind in those areas however.

Kansas City Metro Coverage

Posted on: August 25th, 2006 by Valerie Rickard

The good: big coverage area in the Kansas City metro area. I cannot recall any areas that i did not atleast have one reception bar. The bad: I have had a small issue with the occasional dropped call, but i am usually able to call right back and have good service. Summary: I have had experience with several different service providers (verizon, US cellular, sprint, t-mobile, cingular) and I have had the best luck with Cingular. The coverage area for the Kansas City metro area, and in most places in the US, is great. The only time I am without service is when I am in a very remote area.

Very Nice Service.

Posted on: August 25th, 2006 by Ty Davis Jr.

The good: High Signal StrengthVery Clear ReceptionHaven't Dropped a Call Yet (6months)The bad: Telephone may cause interference with other electronic products... Summary: This is the BEST cell service I have ever had. I've tried Alltel, Cricket, Sprint PCS, Boost and Virgin Mobile. Cingular tops them all! It is a bit pricey though. $59.99 mnth 900daytime/unlimited N&W's.Does include rollover service though.

has its faults

Posted on: August 24th, 2006 by rohinramesh vazirani

The good: good overallThe bad: has a lot of dropped callsSummary: Cingular in general has decent coverage, however they do have a high frequency of dropped calls. Moreover, they have terrible customer support and when they "fix" something on the account, something else goes wrong

Fair Signal and Poor Customer Service...

Posted on: August 23rd, 2006 by William Montgomery

The good: Signal is fair, at least as far as cell phone carriers go..You would think though after all these years that you could drive 50 miles though pa without getting a dropped call, but it still happens all the time...But I hear from people that tried other carriers that they are no better and most are worse...The bad: Kept getting erroneous billing. Call in to have it removed, only to have it show up on next months bill. Call in again, they would promise it would be removed and not show up anymore, but the following month there it would be again. This went on for 6 months. Now, our contract is up and our phones are out of date, and we have been with cingular before they were cingular, been with these people for years. You would think that they could give you a decent phone to sign a new contract, but "NOoooo"Summary: Well, if we can find a carrier with a signal and plan as as good cingulars we are going to leave them. We need new phones, and we feel that we shouldn't have to pay for them when they give them to customers who have no loyalty at all...
