cingular wireless

Posted on: September 20th, 2006 by Steven Fluder

The good: when on vacation it seems my friends always ask to use my phone as they do not have serviceThe bad: started the service in the wifes name (birthday present) took a while to be able to change things (needed her permission as she signed the contract)Summary: After the initial problem solved (see cons) we never had a major problem. All minor problems were solved in a courteous manner. As a matter of fact my daughter and her boyfriend recently signed up also after noticing the difference between our service and her friends.

Cingular's Less Than Average Service at Virginia Tech

Posted on: September 20th, 2006 by Anthony Le

The good: Decent service outsideThe bad: Poor service inside and overall, slow to dial calls, voicemail recieves lateSummary: Cingular's tower coverage is perfectly acceptable on campus at Virginia Tech. The only problem occurs when you step inside a building. Though you will get service in a lot of buildings, some will leave you with zero bars. In my dorm, I get absolutely no service. One floor above me, I get somewhat decent service. Compare that to other carriers who seem to have coverage in all localities. Another problem with Cingular's service on campus is the slow connections when dialing a call; often you will be waiting 15-30 seconds before you will ever hear a dial tone. Also be prepared to be notified of new voicemail days after it has been left, or after you have listened to it already. If you intend to purchase cell coverage in the area of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, I would recommend researching other providers of the like.

cingular carrier and coverage

Posted on: September 20th, 2006 by Tiffany Bumpus

The good: customer service is good and I have not really had too many problemsThe bad: they claim to have the least dropped calls.....I get dropped calls frequently.Summary: I am very happy with cingular as a whole. Customer service is usually very good and responsive to your needs. My only problem with them is that I frequently get dropped calls. I also have problems with getting on the internet as my phone seems to have a mind of its own. However I do not know if this is company related or I just have a defective phone. I would reccomend cingular on a whole though. They have a wide range of plans and prices.

Cingular Review

Posted on: September 12th, 2006 by Aaron Pearce

The good: Rollover Minutes andClear ReceptionThe bad: Mediocre Customer ServiceSummary: One major advantage as a Cingular customer is that Cingular offers rollover minutes unlike other major cell phone carriers. From personal experience, Cingular also has the clearest reception and fewest dropped calls when compared to other major cell phone carriers. However, Cingular's customer service is mediocre.

Cingular

Posted on: September 9th, 2006 by James Zelenka

The good: Good coverage, great phones, simple to use.The bad: Recent merger probably causing teething problems.Summary: I know many people have a problem with Cingular but I beleive things will get much better with time. As marvelous as the cell system is it is still relatively imature and can only get better if everyone will just take a deep breath and give it a chance. I've personally had excellent results with their customer service and the Cingular system in general is much more effective and efficient than any I have tried.

Cingular Wireless Review

Posted on: September 6th, 2006 by Sherry Hart

The good: I really like the Family Plans. I use the MTM most and appreciate that I can talk to other Cingular customers without using up my minutes. The bad: The signal is bad in many parts of my area.Summary: The plans are good. I use mobile to mobile the most. I like being able to call anywhere in the US without long distance charges. They improved the plans a lot when they did away with the roaming fees. I wish the signal in my area was stronger.

Cingular Wireless in San Jose, CA

Posted on: September 5th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: works great in most placesThe bad: many pockets of no serviceSummary: Unfortunately for me, the pockets of no service include my house, our middle school, and our elementary school. We are in the middle of suburbia, so no interference from hills, etc. I tried calling to find out if we didn't have a tower or what the problem was and of course couldn't get any help at all.

Cingular Service

Posted on: September 1st, 2006 by Su Hunte

The good: few dropped calls - when they say that, for me it has been true. I rarely get dropped callsThe bad: The cons really relate to all carriers. The plans are too expensive and if you upgrade your plan (one that you have had), they don't offer the cheaper one and that's it - you are stuck.Summary: I've had several carriers in the past 6 years and it seems that they are better than Sprint and I have heard alot of complaints from friends that have Verizon and Nextel. I would have tried T-Mobile but I don't like their plans.

No service where i live

Posted on: August 31st, 2006 by Steven Fernandes

The good: i have great serivce anywhere i go, always reliable The bad: the only downer is that fact that i get no service where i liveSummary: whats the point of having a cell phone when more then 90% of my phone calls are from home, i get no serivce whats so ever, not to mention drop calls, we all see their commericals with fewer drops then other carriers but not for me, people tell me that they call me, but i hardly hear the phone rining cuase on my phone it says no network. besdies all of that the company is very helpful for the most part and the only reason why i have this problem is mainly due to the fact that i live in a middle of a hill, but it all depends on where u live!
