Moto E7 is a low-cost phone with a 48MP camera and 36 hours of battery life

Motorola's Moto E family has been offering solid Android devices at very aggressive prices for several years now, and today Motorola introduced the latest entry in that lineup.

The Moto E7 is now official, and it keeps up the affordable pricing of the Moto E series by coming in at £99.99 / €119.99. And Motorola has given the Moto E7 some features that you may not expect from such a low-cost device.

There's a dual rear camera setup on the Moto E7 that includes a 48MP main cam. It uses Quad Pixel tech to get you 4x better light sensitivity and produce 12MP shots with better low-light performance. Also included is a 2MP macro camera that'll get you 2.5x closer to your subject than the main camera.

Around front is a 6.5-inch 1600x720 LCD screen with a water-drop notch and a 5MP selfie camera. There's a big battery inside the Moto E7, too, and Motorola says that the 4000mAh battery can get you up to 36 hours of use on a single charge.

A fingerprint reader is built into the Motorola logo on the backside of the Moto E7 and a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side. There's also a USB-C port for charging at up to 10W speeds plus a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a feature you don't often see on pricier phones. And the body of the Moto E7 features a water repellent design.

Inside is a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32/64GB of built-in storage. A microSD slot will let you add up to 2GB of additional storage. And on the software side, the Moto E7 comes preloaded with Android 10 plus some custom Quick Gestures like swipe fingerprint for notifications, fast torch, and jump to camera.

The Moto E7 is launching in select countries in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia in the coming weeks.
