OnePlus Buds Z truly wireless earbuds and charging case leak out

The OnePlus 8T may be the main draw for OnePlus's event on October 14, but that's not the only device that'll be announced there.

OnePlus is working on a new pair of truly wireless earbuds that'll debut on October 14. They're rumored to be called the "OnePlus Buds Z", and the folks at OxygenUpdater managed to pull some renders of them out of a OnePlus APK.

These OnePlus Buds Z look to have the same long stem design as the regular OnePlus Buds, but they have a silicone tip rather than an open-air design like the original Buds. This could help give the Buds Z a seal inside your ear to block some outside noise.

The charging case of the OnePluds Buds Z is different than the regular Buds, too. It's shorter and longer, and the Buds Z lay flat in the case rather than vertically like the Buds and their charging case.

OnePlus has dropped a couple of teasers for the Buds Z on Twitter, saying that they'll offer IP55 water resistance and that they'll weigh 4.35 grams. The regular OnePlus Buds weigh 4.7 grams.

Meanwhile, leaker Ishan Agarwal (via 91Mobiles) has dropped a few other details of the OnePlus Buds Z, saying that they'll feature 10mm drivers, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Audio Tuner. The Buds Z will reportdely offer up to 20 hours of battery life, too.

We don't yet know how much the OnePlus Buds Z might cost when they launch, but the regular OnePlus Buds are priced aggressively at just $79, so we could see an aggressive price tag for the Buds Z as well. With their silicone tips and higher water resistance, the Buds Z could be a good option for workout earbuds, so if that's something you're after be sure to keep it locked to PhoneDog next week for the official OnePlus Buds Z announcement.
