Google Fi launches nationwide 5G with coverage map, now selling Samsung flagships

Google Fi has a couple of big pieces of news to share today.

First up, Google Fi now offers a 5G coverage map, letting you see if there's 5G connectivity available from Fi in your neck of the woods. It looks to be T-Mobile's 5G network, so if there's T-Mo 5G available in your area, then you should be able to get 5G on Google Fi, too.

You can see Google Fi's 5G coverage map below. The dark green represents 5G coverage.

Google Fi says that nationwide 5G coverage is included in all of its plans. Google is now selling several 5G phones that you can use to get on that network, and it says you can bring an unlocked device that's compatible with T-Mobile's 5G network and use it on Google Fi 5G as well.

Speaking of 5G devices, Google is now selling several different 5G Samsung phones in its Fi store. Included is the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The Galaxy A71 5G will be available soon.

All of the Samsung phones can be purchased with 24 monthly installments or at full retail price. So for example, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is $54.13 per month for 24 months or $1,299 full price.

To celebrate the launch of these Samsung phones on Fi, Google is offering a couple of limited time deals. Customers who buy a Galaxy Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra and activate it on Fi can get a $300 Google Fi credit. You must activate your new Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and remain active for 60 consecutive days.

Google is also offering $300 off the Galaxy S20, S20+, or S20 Ultra. The same terms apply here, meaning the deal is open to new and existing customers and that after you buy your new S20, you'll need to activate it on Google Fi within 30 days of your shipment confirmation email and remain active for 60 consecutive days.

Finally, Google will offer $150 on the Galaxy A71 5G when you buy and activate it on Fi.
