Over the past couple of months, we've told you about updates to the YouTube Music app that include a new Explore tab and a new-look player page. Those features are now rolling out to everyone.
YouTube tells us that the new Explore tab is now available to all YouTube Music users globally. That includes both the Android and iOS versions of the app.
The Explore tab replaces the Hotlist in YouTube Music and is meant to give you a place to find new tunes. You'll discover new releases including albums, singles, and music videos there, as well as playlists in a Moods & Genre section.
Also rolling out is a new look for the Now Playing page in the Android app. This includes the ability to quickly flip between the song and the music video, static lyrics that you can easily follow along with, and the addition of repeat and shuffle buttons on the player page. You can easily download, share, and add songs to playlist by tapping on the album art, too.
Some YouTube Music users that received this update earlier today ran into problems, like broken playlists and issues with liked songs not working anymore. YouTube says that these issues have been fixed and that you may need to restart your YouTube Music app for the fixes to take effect.
