The LG Velvet is getting its official announcement this week, but before then, a new video has surfaced that gives us a clear hands-on look at LG's new phone.
Despite the fact that it's not yet been announced and isn't due to launch in Korea until May 15, the LG Velvet was recently placed on display at a store in Korea. This allowed LIMMADE TV to post a hands-on video with the Velvet that includes a look at its full spec list.
Because LG has already shown off the Velvet a couple of times, there's not a ton of new info reveal in this video hands-on. We do get a close-up of the LG Velvet's Raindrop rear camera setup with one main sensor protruding from the backside and two other cams sitting below glass. We also get a peek at the Velvet's software and a stylus being used with it.
The spec list that's posted with this LG Velvet confirms that the phone has a 6.8-inch FHD+ screen with in-display fingerprint sensor and a 16MP selfie camera in a notch. There's a 48MP main camera around back along with 8MP and 5MP cams, and stereo speakers are included as well.
Inside the Velvet is a Snapdragon 765 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. There's 128GB of storage built into the phone, and if that's not enough, you can add a microSD card to get up to 2TB of additional storage. A 4300mAh battery is powering the Velvet and support for wireless charging is included. And all of those features are packed into a body with IP68 water resistance.
LG is hyping the Velvet up as the start of a new product roadmap, and so there's quite a bit of interest in it. The LG Velvet seems to place more of a focus on design, and LG has been talking up the phone's 3D Arc Design that gives symmetrical curves to the front and rear to help it feel more natural in your hand.
Now that we know almost everything these is to know about the LG Velvet, are you interested in it?
