Samsung reportedly prepping new flagship tablets with 12.4-inch and 11-inch screens

The Galaxy Tab S6 isn't exactly a small tablet, packing a 10.5-inch display, but a new report says that Samsung could be going bigger with its next flagship tablets.

Samsung is reportedly planning to release new flagship tablet models with 12.4-inch and 11-inch screen sizes. SamMobile claims that these new models are currently in development with the model numbers SM-T97x and SM-T87x.

It's not known if these new tablets will be called Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S20, or something else. Specific specs aren't known quite yet, either, but they'll likely have a flagship-tier processor, plenty of RAM, and improved cameras.

Samsung is no stranger to big tablet screens, having launched the Galaxy View 2 and its massive 17.3-inch display just one year ago. That screen is probably a bit too large for most people who want a large display for videos and work but also want something they can still fit slip into a bag and take to places.

These rumored 12.4-inch and 11-inch Galaxy Tab models sound like they'd fit that bill of being big but not so big that portability takes a hit. Plus, with the popularity of Apple's 12.9-inch and 11-inch iPad Pro models, these bigger Samsung tablets could provide an Android alternative to those Apple tablets.
