It's official: Google has moved on from the Pixel 3.
The Google Store has stopped selling the Pixel 3 and 3 XL. Both phones have disappeared from the "Phones" drop down menu in the store, and trying a direct link to either device will redirect you to the Google Store homepage.
The "Choose your carrier" section of the store for the Pixel 3 and 3 XL is still accessible, but it shows the Verizon, Google Fi, and unlocked models as out of stock.
Google has confirmed to Android Police that the disappearance of the Pixel 3 and 3 XL is intentional, explaining that the Google Store has sold through its stock of both phones.
If you haven't bought a Pixel 3 or 3 XL and are interested in one, your options are dwindling. Amazon appears to have some stock of the Pixel 3 available in the "Other Sellers on Amazon" section of the product page, B&H Photo has some stock of the Pixel 3 XL, and Best Buy has the smaller Pixel 3 as well. Carriers like T-Mobile and Verizon appear to be out of stock.
There are several reasons for Google to stop selling the Pixel 3 and 3 XL, including the age of both phones and the fact that Google has the affordable Pixel 3a and 3a XL as well as the flagship Pixel 4 and 4 XL still available. Plus, it was almost exactly one year ago that Google stopped selling the Pixel 2 and 2 XL.
All that said, it's still notable that Google has stopped selling the Pixel 3 and 3 XL because it means the phones that were once flagships are starting to fade away. The good news for anyone that owns one is that the software support for these phones will continue on, as Google has guaranteed that they'll get security and OS updates through October 2021.
