OnePlus's "special project" has been revealed.
OnePlus today announced Snowbots, which are snowball-firing robots powered by OnePlus 5G smartphones. These robots are serious machines that can fire snowballs at 120 MPH.
On March 9th at 2:00 pm Finnish time (7:00 am ET), OnePlus will host a battle where a group of "familiar faces" will fight the Snowbots. OnePlus says that the humands will be "pummeled with snow" while trying to defeat the Snowbots, but presumably the robots won't be firing at the full 120 MPH speeds, because getting nailed with a snowball going that fast would probably hurt.
OnePlus will then give everyone the chance to control the Snowbots. These fights will run 24 hours per day until 12:00 am Finnish time (5:00 pm ET) on March 12th. You'll be able to play from your phone so long as you've got a good Wi-Fi connection or 5G. OnePlus will only allow each person to play once so that everyone getrs a chance.
You can also enter for a chance to go to Lapland, Finland to battle the Snowbots in person. Eighteen people will win an all-inclusive trip to Finland, but you must live in Europe and be able to travel to Finland from March 8th through March 10th.
