2020 iPad Pro renders hint at triple rear camera setup

One of the big changes to the iPhone this year was the move to a triple rear camera setup on the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. New renders suggest Apple may bring that same array of cameras to the next iPad Pro models.

Renders of the 2020 iPad Pro devices have reportedly surfaced, showing a design that's similar to the 2018 iPad Pro models but with a triple rear camera setup. There are no details on these cameras in the report from iGeeksBlog and OnLeaks, but if they're similar to the iPhone 11 Pro cameras, they'll include 12MP wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto cams. The 2018 iPad Pro models have a single 12MP rear camera.

These 2020 iPad Pro models are expected to come in 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes, just like the 2018 versions, and they appear to have flat sides, quad speakers, and a USB-C port, too. There's no confirmation of what material the new iPads Pro may be made of, but the 2018 models both have unibody aluminum shells, and so it's possible that the 2020 versions will be made of the same materials.

Apple has only used its current iPad Pro design once, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see it reuse that design for new iPad Pro models in 2020. The addition of a triple rear camera setup may not be super exciting to some folks who don't take photos with their tablet, but it would still make for a meaningful upgrade that some people would use. Apple will also likely make some other internal upgrades to the new iPads Pro that we can't see in these renders, like a newer processor.

What changes do you want to see Apple make with the 2020 iPad Pro models?
