Samsung is treating owners of its Galaxy S10 series phones to new features that originally debuted with the Note 10.
A new update is rolling out to the Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, and S10 5G that includes Note 10 features like an improved Gallery app. With it, S10 series users can quickly find specific photos by searching with specific keywords, helping them to find a specific image without flipping through thousands of photos one at a time.
An improved multimedia experience is also coming to S10 phones. This includes better device search that'll bring up content recommendations from streaming apps as well as the addition of Media and Devices sections in the Quick Panel that let you easily control your multimedia experience across devices using your phone.
Auto Hotspot is a feature that makes it easier to get your other Samsung devices online. After the initial setup, Auto Hotspot will automatically create a hotspot with other nearby Samsung devices if they share the same Samsung account or family account. Also rolling out is Wi-Fi Tips, which will help you ensure your Wi-Fi connection is stable.
Galaxy S10 owners can also expect a new feature called AR Doodle that enables you to add fun drawings to your videos without a S Pen stylus. Better Super Steady video stabilization will help keep your videos from being too shaky, and Night Mode for the front camera will make your nighttime selfies better.
Finally, the improved Samsung DeX will make it easier to transfer your video clips from your phone to a PC or Mac. Just connect your Galaxy S10 phone to your computer using a USB cable and you'll be able to trim, edit, and personalize your videos using Samsung's DeX feature.
Samsung says that the exact release timing for this new update will vary by country and carrier. If you've got a Galaxy S10 series phone, keep an eye out for a new update with all these new features.
