Pocket Casts announced today that with the update to version 7.5 of its app, it's now free. The same features that've been in the Android and iOS apps will remain in the free version, including silence trimming, variable speed, and volume boost. Plus, Pocket Casts is gaining the ability to add your own files into it from any other phone on your app and listen to it with Pocket Casts' features.
Also announced today is Pocket Casts Plus. This service costs $0.99 per month or $9.99 per year and gets you added features like Windows, macOS, and web apps, cloud storage that'll let you upload your own files and enjoy them anywhere, and themes and icons that'll help you make the Pocket Casts app fit your style.
To say thanks to anyone who has paid for Pocket Casts web and desktop apps in the past, Pocket Casts is giving those people three years of Pocket Casts Plus for free.
