Galaxy Note 10 expected to ditch headphone jack as 3.5mm to USB-C dongle leaks

We've seen evidence that shows that the Galaxy Note 10 will ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack, making it the first Samsung flagship to go without the port. Now a new leak is showing the dongle you'll use with the Note 10 if you do want to use 3.5mm headphones.

Leaked images show off the 3.5mm to USB-C dongle that'll reportedly be included with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. The dongle is white and both ends have a tapered design as you move from the connector to the cord.

Samsung is also expected to include USB-C headphones with the Galaxy Note 10, but if you've got 3.5mm headphones that you really like, you'll need to use this adapter to plug 'em into your shiny new flagship.

The Galaxy Note 10 will be officially revealed on August 7, and this dongle leak adds support to the rumors that the phone will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. That's notable because Samsung has been one of the biggest phone makers resisting the trend of dropping the 3.5mm headphone jack, even including it in the Galaxy S10 that launched earlier this year. With the Note 10, though, it looks like Samsung will finally be moving away from the 3.5mm headphone jack, and it'll be interesting to hear Samsung explain why it decided to ditch the port.
