Xiaomi recently showed off 100W fast charging tech that can recharge a 4000mAh battery in 17 minutes, which is pretty darn impressive. But this week, Xiaomi has been one-upped by Vivo.
Vivo has taken to Weibo to tease 120W fast charging tech. Called Super FlashCharge, this tech can recharge a 4000mAh battery from 0 to 50 percent in five minutes, says Vivo. Going from 0 to 100 percent will take just 13 minutes.
In a video showing Super FlashCharge, we can see a phone gain around 2.38 percent of power in 14 seconds.
Vivo hasn't said when this Super FlashCharge tech might launch to the public or what device it might appear in first. Being able to fully charge a 4000mAh battery in 13 minutes is pretty attractive, though, and so Super FlashCharge would likely be a main selling point of whatever device it's included with.
MWC Shanghai is happening next week, so we may learn more about Vivo's Super FlashCharge then. Stay tuned.
