HTC U19e official with 3930mAh battery, Desire 19+ features three rear cameras

Right on schedule, HTC made a big announcement that included two new phones: the HTC U19e and HTC Desire 19+.

The HTC U19e is a mid-range Android 9.0 Pie phone with a 6-inch 2160x1080 OLED display. That screen features an 18:9 aspect ratio and supports HDR10, too. There are dual BoomSound speakers included to give you better sound when watching videos or playing games. There doesn't appear to be a 3.5mm headphone jack, though, so you'll have to use USB-C or Bluetooth headphones.

There's a total of four cameras on the HTC U19e: two back and two front. Around back is a 20MP camera with f/2.6 aperture and 12MP snapper with f/1.8 aperture. These cameras offer 2x optical zoom, bokeh photos, phase detection autofocus, and 4K video capture. Meanwhile, the front of the phone is home to a 24MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 2MP sensor for the HTC U19e's iris scanning unlock feature.

Rounding out the HTC U19e's spec list is an octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a microSD slot, a rear fingerprint reader, dual SIM slots, NFC, and a 3930mAh battery. It'll launch in Taiwan for NT$14,900 ($$475 USD).

And then there's the HTC Desire 19+, which is HTC's first phone with a triple rear camera setup. This includes a 13MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP depth-sensing snapper. Around front is a single 16MP camera for your selfie needs.

Inside the HTC Desire 19+ is a MediaTek Helio P65 processor, up to 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. The screen is a 6.2-inch HD+ panel, and the back of the phone is home to a fingerprint reader. Powering this Android 9.0 phone is a 3850mAh battery. It'll start at NT$9,990 ($318 USD).
