Apex Legends is dropping onto mobile devices

Apex Legends is the latest battle royale game to take the world by storm, and like Fortnite and PUBG before it, it'll soon be coming to mobile.

During its Q4 2019 earnings call yesterday, EA teased that it's bringing Apex Legends to mobile devices. "We are in advanced negotiations to bring Apex Legends to China and to mobile, and we will update you on time frames when those negotiations are concluded," EA said.

Unfortunately, that's all that we know about the mobile version of Apex Legends right now. There was no mention of when the game might launch or what platforms it might be available on, though releases on both Android and iOS would make sense.

Apex Legends enjoyed quite a bit of popularity right out of the gate when it launched in early February, and now it's got tens of millions players across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Now that we're a few months out from the release, Apex is using a Battle Pass to help keeps users engaging with the game, and a mobile release could help give the game a boost as well. Not only would it let existing players play the game on the go, but it could get gamers who don't have a PC, PS4, or Xbox One to try it Apex Legends on their smartphone or tablet.

Have you tried Apex Legends? Would you be interested in a mobile version of the game?
