Samsung Galaxy Fold hands-on video gives us another look at the upcoming foldable

Last week, Samsung finally unveiled the Galaxy Fold, its first foldable smartphone. The company hasn't allowed anyone to play with a Galaxy Fold yet, so we haven't gotten the chance to fold and unfold it ourselves, but today Samsung is giving us another look at the device.

Samsung today uploaded a lengthy hands-on video with the Galaxy Fold that shows off many of its features. The video is kind of strange in that there's no music or talking, just an ambient room sound and the sounds of the Galaxy Fold performing actions like snapping a photo. But hey, it is giving us a good look at Samsung's foldable, so we can't complain too much.

In the video, we get several up-close looks at the Galaxy Fold hardware and we get to see the phone folded and unfolded multiple times. We also get to see its App Continuity feature that lets you launch an app on the small outer screen and then switch to the large unfolded screen. The phone's various cameras are shown in action, too, along with the Samsung DeX feature and the Galaxy Fold's color options.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold features a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED screen on its outside, and when unfolded, it's got a 7.3-inch QXGA+ AMOLED display. It's got a total of six cameras: a 10MP selfie camera on the cover, a dual front camera setup with a 10MP selfie cam and 8MP RGB depth camera, and a triple rear camera setup that includes a 12MP telephoto sensor, a 12MP wide angle camera, and a 16MP ultra wide angle camera. It also comes with 12GB of RAM, 512GB of built-in storage, and a 4380mAh battery.

Samsung has said that it'll launch the Galaxy Fold on April 26th at a price of $1,980. At that price, it's likely that only the most hardcore early adopters will buy one. The Galaxy Fold does look nice for a first gen foldable phone, though, and we're definitely looking forward to seeing what it's like to use day-to-day.

Now that we've gotten another good look at the Galaxy Fold, what do you think of it? Are you considering buying one when it launches in April?
