Apple Pay launching at Target, Taco Bell, and other retailers

Apple Pay is making its way into even more major retail locations.

Target is gaining support for Apple Pay, and all 1,850 Target stores across the U.S. are expected to offer Apple Pay in the coming weeks. Support for Apple Pay is also coming to more than 7,000 Taco Bell and 2,200 Jack in the Box locations over the coming months.

Apple Pay is also available at more than 245 Hy-Vee grocery stores across the Midwest and at all of Speedway's 3,000 convenience stores in the Midwest, East Coast, and Southeast.

It's great to see support for Apple Pay continue to roll out to major retail locations, as it enables more folks to use their phone as their wallet if they'd like. Today's news is especially notable because Target was one of the most notable Apple Pay holdouts and opted to launch its own Target Wallet for paying in Target stores with your Target REDcard. Now Target is on board with Apple Pay, which is a payment method that works across all retail locations that support it.

How often do you pay in-store with your phone?

UPDATE: Target has confirmed that it's officially adding support for Google Pay and Samsung Pay in all stores, too.
