Google Pixel 3 Lite leaks again, this time on video

The unannounced Google Pixel 3 Lite has leaked once again, but this time we're getting a clear look at it on video.

A video that shows the hardware of the Pixel 3 Lite has been posted today, confirming features like the 3.5mm headphone jack on top of the phone. The clip from Andro News also mentions that the Pixel 3 Lite has a plastic body rather than a glass body like the Pixel 3, as well as a single front camera and a single speaker located on the bottom of the device.

According to the leak, the Pixel 3 Lite will include specs like a 5.56-inch 2160x1080 screen, Snapdragon 670 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, and a 2915mAh battery. Unsurprisingly, we're also told to expect Android 9.0 Pie to be preloaded.

When it comes to cameras, the leak says that the Pixel 3 Lite has an 8MP front-facing camera and a 12.2MP rear snapper. Despite not being as high-end as the Pixel 3, the Pixel 3 Lite is said to have a camera that's just as good as its Pixel 3 sibling, which is often praised as one of the best smartphone cameras on the market.

A previous report said that the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL will both launch in early spring 2019. Today's leak claims that a release is scheduled for after Google I/O, which hasn't yet been officially announced. Google I/O has taken place in early to mid-May in recent years.

The Google Pixel 3 Lite looks like it could be a pretty attractive phone. It may not be quite as premium as the standard Pixel 3, but it's still got a respectable feature set, and that should be plenty for most consumers. Those mid-range specs should result in a lower price tag than the Pixel 3 which, combined with the solid camera performance, will make for a tempting device.

What do you think of the Pixel 3 Lite?
