Google Maps can now show you nearby Lime scooters

Electric scooters are a trendy way to get around your town, and Google Maps is embracing the trend.

Google is teaming up with Lime to show nearby Lime scooters, pedal bikes, and e-bikes in Google Maps. The feature is live in 13 cities around the world, and more cities will be added soon. The cities where this feature is currently available include:

  • Auckland
  • Austin
  • Baltimore
  • Brisbane
  • Dallas
  • Indianapolis
  • Los Angeles
  • San Diego
  • Oakland
  • San Antonio
  • San Jose
  • Scottsdale
  • Seattle

To use this Lime integration, just pull up Google Maps, navigate to your destination, and tap on the transit icon to see your nearby options. If there's a Lime vehicle close, Google Maps will show you how long it'll take to walk to the vehicle, an estimate of how much your ride will cost, and your total journey time and ETA.

Tapping on the Lime card will send you to the Lime app so that you can see the exact location of the vehicle and unlock it. If you don't already have the Lime app on your phone, you'll be sent to the App Store or Play Store to download it.
