Fossil Sport Smartwatch is the newest Wear OS watch with a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor

Following last month's launch of the Montblanc Summit 2 as the first Wear OS smartwatch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, Fossil today revealed its new watch with the SW3100 chipset.

The Fossil Sport Smartwatch is now official, and it's Fossil's first smartwatch with the Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. It'll be available in two case sizes — 41mm and 43mm — each with a round touchscreen and support interchangeable straps.

Fossil says that its new Sport Smartwatch offers a 350mAh battery that'll get you 24+ hours of battery life. If you need more battery life, you can push the watch to get two additional days in battery saver watch mode. There's 4GB of storage built into the Fossil Sport Smartwatch, and the watch's case is swimproof. Also packed into the Fossil Sport Smartwatch is a heart rate sensor, NFC, GPS, altimeter, ambient light sensor, and microphone.

On the software side, the Fossil Sport Smartwatch comes with Google's Wear OS, and Fossil says that it's created three watch faces that integrate Google Fit to help you track your fitness. Fossil is packing Spotify into its Sport Smartwatch, too, along with a Noonlight app that the company says offers "peace of mind and safety".

The Fossil Sport Smartwatch is now available online for $255 and will be available in select Fossil retail stores around the globe starting November 12.

It's great to see another Wear OS smartwatch come to market with the Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor in tow, especially considering that the first SW3100 watch was more of a luxury product. The Fossil Sport Smartwatch looks like a solid watch, offering a simple by good-looking design and hardware features like GPS, heart rate monitoring, and a swimproof case that'll help make it a good workout companion.

What do you think of the Fossil Sport Smartwatch? Does its Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor have you interested?
