Fossil Q Venture HR and Q Explorist HR smartwatches have Wear OS, heart rate tracking, and GPS

Fossil is one of the most prevalent Android smartwatch makers, and this week it proved that by announcing its fourth generation of Q smartwatches.

The Fossil Q Venture HR and Fossil Q Explorist HR both feature heart rate tracking as a highlight feature. This means you can take a manual heart rate reading and automatically track your heart rate during workouts with Google Fit. Also included are heart rate graphs to show your workout progress and unique watch faces with heart rate tracking built in.

Fossil also touts that its new smartwatches have untethered GPS. With it, you can track your workouts without bringing your phone along. This works in both Google Fit and third-party fitness apps.

Other features of these new Fossil smartwatches include Snapdragon Wear 2100 processors, magnetic charging, NFC for Google Pay, and swimproof stainless steel cases. The Fossil Q Venture HR is the smaller of the two, with a case that measures in at 40mm while the Fossil Q Explorist HR is 45mm. Both watches also offer 24+ hours of battery life.
