As expected, a red OnePlus 6 has been made officially official by OnePlus.
The OnePlus 6 Red will launch in OnePlus's global markets with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. That includes North American and Europe, where the OnePlus 6 Red will launch on July 10th at a price of $579. This special edition device will then launch in India on July 16th for ₹39,999.
OnePlus touts that it added a translucent orange layer to the red base layer of this device to help give it a bright, glossy finish. There's also an anti-reflective layer to help give the color a sense of depth and a silver accent around the camera.
"Deciding on this color was not without its challenges. We see individual colors as a way to express certain feelings or ideas. To us, red exudes enthusiasm and personality. It also represents an inner confidence and courage," said OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. "There is a kind of power in red, which the OnePlus logo has always tried to articulate. We hope you feel similarly empowered when you hold the OnePlus 6 Red this summer."
The OnePlus 6 Red looks pretty sharp, and it's nice to see the bright red hue wrap around to the outer edges of the device. OnePlus also announced today that it will restock its OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones on July 10th.
