Just as the rumors predicted, Android One is making its way to the U.S. with the Moto X4 on Project Fi.
The Android One Moto X4 is available for pre-order with Project Fi starting today. Pricing will be set at $399.
Google touts that this device “runs a pure Android experience” and that it’ll get an update to Android Oreo before the end of 2017. The company also says that the Android One Moto X4 will be among the first devices to get an update to Android P.
Specs-wise, the Moto X4 features a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display and dual rear cameras, with one 12-megapixel Dual Autofocus Pixel sensor and one 8-megapixel wide angle sensor. Around front there’s a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and inside the X4 lives a Snapdragon 630 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 3,000mAh battery. The X4 comes with 32GB of built-in storage and offers a microSD slot if you need additional storage.
The Android One Moto X4 looks like a solid addition to Google’s Project Fi lineup. Up until now, the only phones available through Project Fi were Google’s Pixels, which are nice phones but are also expensive flagships. This $399 Android One Moto X4 expands Project Fi’s lineup with an affordable offering that still has sold specs.
Also of note is that Google is launching a trade-in program with the Android One Moto X4. If you’ve got an older Nexus phone, you can trade it in and get up to $165 to spend on a new device. And if you start your trade-in before October 5th, Google will give you an extra $50 in Fi credit.
