Android O Developer Preview 3 update now available

Running the Android O Developer Preview? If so, you’ve got an update coming your way.

Google today released Android O Developer Preview 3, the latest beta release of its upcoming Android O release. What’s notable about this update is that it includes the final API level 26 as well as hundreds of bug fixes and optimizations. These will help developers ensure that their apps are ready for the public release of Android O, which is expected in Q3 2017.

If you’re in the Android Beta Program, you should get the Android O Dev Preview 3 pushed to your device over the air shortly. If you’re not already in the program, you can enroll now. The devices that are compatible with the Android O Developer Preview include the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Nexus Player.

Another way to get Android O Dev Preview 3 is to manually flash the update. You can find the images for the devices compatible with the Android O Dev Preview right here. Keep in mind, though, that flashing a system image will wipe all of the data on your device.
