Alcatel A3 XL is a new Android smartphone with a 6-inch display

Alcatel today introduced a new Android phone at CES 2017, and it’s a big ‘un.

The Alcatel A3 XL features a 6-inch HD phablet that is the first of Alcatel’s new “A” series of phones. Included is a rear fingerprint reader, 4G LTE connectivity, and what Alcatel describes as an “enhanced speaker system.”

There’s no word on how much the A3 XL will cost, but Alcatel says that its new A series of phones is a “premium range of affordable mobile devices,” so it shouldn’t be too hard on buyers’ wallets.

The A3 XL will launch in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America regions in Q1 2017 before rolling out in Europe in Q2 2017.

While there are a lot of phablet-style devices on the market now, we don’t see many phones whose screens stretch all the way to six inches in size. The Alcatel A3 XL is one of those phones, though, and so if having a huge screen in your pocket is important, this is one device to keep an eye out for.
