With the holidays right around the corner, lots of folks are going to be spending time on their phones chatting with friends, whether it’s to wish them a happy holiday season or to escape from family. Now Snapchat is making it easier to stay in contact with your entire group of friends.
Groups is a new feature on Snapchat that allows you to Chat with up to 16 people at once. Because this is Snapchat, your Chats will disappear after 24 hours, and your Snaps can be opened and replayed just once by each person in the chat. Unviewed Snaps are deleted after 24 hours.
You can also start a Chat with a single person in a Group by tapping their name at the bottom of the Group Chat.
Snapchat is rolling out a couple of other new tools today as well. The Scissors tool will let you cut out part of a Snap on the Preview Screen and then turn it into a sticker. Then there’s the Paintbrush, which you can use to paint on the Snaps in your Memories.
