Apple AirPods now available for $159

When Apple debuted the iPhone 7, the company also introduced AirPods, its new totally wireless headphones. And now, a couple of months after their original expected launch window of “late October”, AirPods have arrived.

Apple is now selling AirPods in its online store. The Bluetooth headphones are priced at $159, and new orders are expected to be delivered by December 22.

AirPods will also launch at Apple Stores, Apple Authorized Resellers, and select carriers next week.

Apple’s AirPods are wireless headphones that offer a super-simple pairing experience with your iOS device. When you open their charging case and tap its button, your AirPods will be set up with all devices that are signed into your iCloud account. That includes your iPhone as well as your Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac.

Some features of the AirPods include their ability to detect when they’re in your ear and to pause and play music when they’re removed and placed back in to your ear. You can also double-tap the AirPods to activate Siri, which can control your music, make calls, and perform other functions.

It’s also worth noting that you can use the AirPods with non-Apple devices, meaning that you could use them to listen to music on your Android phone. Doing so will mean that you’ll lose some of their highlight features, though, like quick pairing and Siri.
