Sprint and Best Buy are the latest to halt sales of the Galaxy Note 7

All four major US carriers have now stopped sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

Sprint confirmed today that it is halting sales of replacement Galaxy Note 7 devices. If you’re a Sprint customer with a Note 7 and you’re concerned about your safety following the recent reports of replacement Note 7s catching fire, you can swap your device for any other phone.

Here’s Sprint’s full statement to us:

“Given recent issues reported in the media, Sprint is halting sales of replacement Note 7 devices pending the conclusion of the investigation by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Samsung. If a Sprint customer with a replacement Note 7 has any concerns, we will exchange it for any other device.”

Best Buy today also said that it’s halting sales of the Note 7. Like the US carriers, Best Buy will also let customers return or exchange their Note 7 for a different phone if they’re concerned about their safety.

Best Buy’s statement to us:

“We have stopped selling all Samsung Note7 phones. Customers can visit a Best Buy store to return or exchange their Note7 for a different phone of their choice.”

Given that AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon have all halting sales of the Note 7, it’s no surprise that Sprint and Best Buy have done the same. Now we wait to see what Samsung finds in its investigation into the recent string of Note 7 fires. The company says that it is “temporarily adjusting” production of the Note 7, with reports saying that Samsung has suspended production of the Note 7 for now.
