LeEco Le Max2, Le S3 appear on US site ahead of launch event

LeEco is holding a big US launch event on October 19, but it looks like the company may have accidentally revealed some of its products early.

The Le Max2 and Le S3 both briefly appeared on LeEco’s US-focused LeMall.com website today. The Le Max2 looks to be the same model that debuted internationally earlier this year, packing specs like a 5.7-inch 2560x1440 display, 21-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front cameras, and a 3,100mAh battery. Other specs for the international Le Max2 include up to 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 820 processor.

Meanwhile, the Le S3 is listed with specs like a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front cameras, and a 3,000mAh battery. The Le S3 looks similar to the LeEco Le 2 that debuted internationally earlier this year with a deca-core MediaTek X20 processor and 3GB of RAM.

Pricing for the Le Max2 and Le S3 are listed at $289 (discounted from $349) and $169 (discounted from $299), respectively. Because these pages went live earlier than LeEco anticipated, though, these prices may not be set in stone.

LeEco’s website also prematurely revealed a trio of televisions: the Super4 X43 Pro TV, Super4 X55 TV, and Super4 X65 TV. All three TVs are listed as running Android TV.

LeEco is a major Android manufacturer overseas, and this leak shows that it’s hoping to make a big impact in the US, too. We’ll have to wait and see if LeEco can actually make a name for itself in the US, if the company ends up offering high-end hardware like the Le Max2 for $289, it could become a serious competitor for consumers shopping for unlocked smartphones.
