With all the noise generated by the release of Samsung’s newest flagship devices, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge, sometimes some smartphone releases from the South Korean mobile giant don’t always get much attention. One of them is the Galaxy J1, an entry-level smartphone offering that is set to be made available at Bell and at other Canadian wireless carriers on April 7. The pricing for the device is set at $150.
For those who are not familiar with the Samsung Galaxy J1 device, it comes with a 4.5-inch AMOLED display screen flanked by a 5-megapixel camera on the rear side and a 2-megapixel camera on the front side. Inside its frame, the device houses a 1.3 GigaHertz four-core Exynos 3475 chip set, supported with 1 gigabytes of RAM, as well as 8 gigabytes of onboard memory. The handset features a 2,050 mAh battery and runs on Google’s Android 5.1.1 Lollipop mobile operating system.
