Galaxy S7 edge referenced on Samsung's website before the phone is announced

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have been leaking quite a bit lately, and today we’ve got another leak for you. What’s interesting about today’s leak is that it comes from Samsung itself.

Samsung has included a few references to the Galaxy S7 edge on its developer site. They’re included in the section about Look, a feature that offers special widgets and other features on Samsung’s Android phones. As you can see in the image above, there’s a mention of “S7 Edge” next to the Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge+, and there’s another in the panel below it. Further down the page, Samsung again mentions the two S6 edge versions and then references an unannounced “Galaxy S7 Edge.”

There aren’t any details or images about the Galaxy S7 edge on this page, just the two references to the phone’s name. With Samsung expected to officially introduce the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge on February 21, the company is likely getting ready to update its support and developer documents to include the new phones, and someone probably just slipped up and updated this developer website a bit early.

We may already know a bit about the Galaxy S7 edge thanks to previous leaks, but it never hurts to get more evidence that an unannounced device is coming, especially when that evidence comes straight from the device’s manufacturer.
