Apple iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3 event rumored for March 15

Grab your calendars, Apple fans, because we now have a date on which the iPhone 5se and other new devices may be shown.

Apple is reportedly planning to host an event on Tuesday, March 15. It’s expected that Apple will show off the oft-rumored 4-inch iPhone 5se there, as well as new Apple Watch bands and the iPad Air 3.

The iPhone 5se is rumored to be a new 4-inch iPhone model that’s a mixture of features from the iPhone 6 and 6s. The device will reportedly have a design similar to the iPhone 5s, but with less shiny chamfered edges to better resist scratches. Its feature set will reportedly include Live Photos, Touch ID, NFC for Apple Pay, 8-megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front cameras, and the Apple A9 processor found in the iPhone 6s.

Pricing for the iPhone 5se is expected to start at $450 for the 16GB model. A 64GB version is rumored to be coming as well, and if it follows the pricing model that Apple has used for past iPhones, it’ll cost $550.

As for the other announcements rumored for March 15, Apple is reportedly prepping new bands for the Apple Watch that include new sport band colors, new Hermès band colors, a black Milanese Loop, and bands made of an entirely new material. Meanwhile, the iPad Air 3 will allegedly feature Apple Pencil support, improved speakers, and a Smart Connector so that it can work with accessories like Apple’s Smart Keyboard.
