Acer Liquid Jade Primo is a new high-end Windows 10 Mobile phone

Microsoft is the company getting most of the attention for new Windows phone hardware nowadays, but that doesn’t mean that it’s the only one making new smartphones with Windows.

The Acer Liquid Jade Primo is a new high-end Windows 10 Mobile smartphone. It’s got a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 AMOLED screen with 2.5D Gorilla Glass, a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and 4K video capture, and an 8-megapixel front camera with a wide-angle lens for getting everyone into your selfies. Powering the Liquid Jade Primo is a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with an “advanced cooling system” to make sure the processor and the back of the phone remain cool.

Rounding out the Liquid Jade Primo’s spec list is 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, LTE Cat.6, 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Acer’s new offering also includes  Continuum, a feature that will let you hook a mouse, keyboard, and monitor up to the phone and use it like a traditional PC.

The Acer Liquid Jade Primo will launch in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) in February for €569, or around $617 USD. It’ll then roll out to other unspecified regions.

While the Liquid Jade Primo isn’t quite as high-end as Microsoft’s Lumia 950 XL, it’s still a pretty respectable device. And at a time when there aren’t many Windows phones coming out that aren’t made by Microsoft, the Acer Liquid Jade Primo offers a high-end hardware with a design that differs from Microsoft’s squarish hardware.
