What do you want to see in Samsung's Galaxy S7?

We’re all just about ready to wrap up 2015 (right?), and as January 1 inexorably heads our way, the Rumor Mill is just now beginning to kick into gear as we prepare for new devices to land on our doorstep next year. And of course the mill is designed to focus on devices that are expected to be high-profile items, like Samsung’s next flagship.

Or flagships, as the case may be.

The big target in 2016 will be the Galaxy S7, the follow-up to this year’s Galaxy S6. This year’s flagship from the manufacturer that’s not afraid to launch a plethora of devices made some bold choices in design to move the handset out of the days of plastic, but also made some decisions, like removing some features that Galaxy S owners have come to expect, that caused some division amongst fans.

All-in-all, though, the Galaxy S6 corrected a variety of wrongs and set Samsung forward with a big boost of positive energy and reviews. So the next phone is just as important as that one, because it will show whether not Samsung had a one-time success with its new design and decisions, or if they’re on to something that can capture the attention of hundreds of thousands of consumers all over again.

It will all depend on marketing, but also on the strength of the phone, too. We already know some things are going to be a given at this point, like Samsung Pay being a major selling point moving forward, that the display will be ridiculously nice, it’ll have a fast processor and probably plenty of RAM to boot, and the camera will (hopefully) continue the positive trend Samsung has been on lately in performance and results.

But those aforementioned decisions to remove some features, like the microSD card slot and removable battery, are still up-in-the-air as to presence in Samsung’s next flagship. But, can Samsung follow Apple’s, and other manufacturer’s, footsteps in leaving these elements off the design board and just keep moving forward with the decisions they saw fit to launch to the public in 2015?

As we begin to sift through the rumors of the Galaxy S7 and start to paint a picture of what the manufacturer will launch next year, I can’t help but wonder what you want to see in Samsung’s next flagship. Especially from those who are still using the Galaxy S6 (or even tried it, and decided to go with something else). What would you like to see Samsung put in the next Galaxy S smartphone, or remove? What’s a big change you hope to see in the next handset?
