Binge On, T-Mobile's new free video streaming service (for customers with 3GB of data or more), wasn't the only big announcement for the magenta carrier today. Un-carrier X, T-Mobile's tenth foray into its Un-carrier initiative, also introduces "Simple Choice Amped", which doubles Simple Choice customer's data without any extra charges or fees.
Current Simple Choice data plans are 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, and Unlimited. With Simple Choice Amped, these data plans change to 2GB, 6GB, and 10GB of data (with unlimited, of course, remaining the same).
However, "unlimited" customers aren't going home empty handed. Simple Choice customers with unlimited data will receive double the amount of Hotspot data for tethering (from 7GB currently offered to 14GB), and 1 free Vudu movie rental every month in 2016.
T-Mobile also announced that it would be re-launching its 4th line free promotion for a limited time, so if you (and your family) have been considering a switch to T-Mobile, now seems like a great time to look into it.
