Latest HTC One A9 leak gives a clear look at the upcoming Android phone

It’s been a few days since we last saw an HTC One A9 leak, but the upcoming device is back today with a set of leaked images that claim to show a dummy version of the device.

The HTC One A9 shown in these latest photos is an AT&T-branded model, complete with AT&T’s name in its status bar and a globe tattoo on its backside. Looking around the phone, we can see volume and power/lock buttons on its right side, microSD and SIM slots on its left side, what appears to be an IR blaster up top, and a speaker grille, microUSB port, and headphone jack on its bottom.

The front of the One A9 is home to a selfie camera up top as well as a fingerprint reader at the bottom of the unit. Around back is a single camera that appears to protrude a bit from the body of the A9.

While today’s leak doesn’t really reveal much in the way of new information about the HTC One A9, it does give us a pretty good look at the upcoming Android phone. HTC has gotten praise in the past for having quality hardware design, and the One A9 looks like another well-made piece of kit from the company, though its aluminum body and rear antenna inserts are sure to draw lots of comparisons to Apple’s iPhone 6.

In terms of specs, the HTC One A9 is expected to offer a 5-inch 1920x1080 AMOLED display, 13-megapixel rear and 4-megapixel UltraPixel front cameras, a Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 2150mAh battery. The A9 will likely run Android 6.0 beneath HTC’s Sense 7 UI at launch.

HTC is holding an event on October 20, and it’s likely that we’ll see the One A9 announced there. The A9 is rumored to be scheduled for a November launch.
