iOS 9 beta 5, watchOS 2 beta 5 updates released by Apple [UPDATED]

UPDATE: Apple has also released iOS 9 Public Beta 3. If you're in the iOS 9 Public Beta, head into Settings > General > Software Update to see if Public Beta 3 is waiting for you!

Apple today continued its effort to prepare iOS 9 for public consumption by pushing a new beta update to developers.

iOS 9 beta 5 is now available to registered developers as build 13A4325c. The update comes to us a little more than two weeks after iOS 9 beta 4 was released. Apple today pushed out watchOS 2 beta 5 to developers as well.

iOS 9 is going to bring with it several new goodies. There’s the new system-wide San Francisco font that’s already in use on the Apple Watch, a new Proactive Assistant that’ll offer up contacts and apps that you might want as well as nearby businesses and breaking news, updated Notes and Maps apps, the new Apple News app, and more. There will also be a couple of notable iPad-specific features, like the ability to run two apps simultaneously side-by-side, which you can see in the image above.

Meanwhile, watchOS 2 will bring native app support so that apps can run directly on the Apple Watch rather than on the paired iPhone.

Both iOS 9 and watchOS 2 are going to launch to the public this fall.
