HTC unleashes several more Android apps onto Google Play

Ahead of the launch of the One M9, HTC has released several new apps into the Google Play store.

The first new HTC-made app is called HTC Tasks. As you might’ve guessed, it’s a task manager app with HTC Sense styling. The app can sync with your Exchange and Google accounts, and it’ll show your tasks in the HTC Calendar app as well. You can also use HTC Tasks to create new tasks and search your existing tasks and lists.

Next is HTC Connect. This feature lets you easily stream music, photos, and video from your HTC device to TVs and audio systems. In order to begin streaming, you simply swipe up on your HTC device’s display using three fingers. HTC Connect is compatible with AllPlay, Blackfire, Bluetooth, DLNA, and Miracast.

HTC BoomSound Connect allows you to connect to AllPlay speakers and beam high-quality music to them, as well as share multiple users’ songs into a single playlist.

Finally, HTC Dot Design is a new feature of HTC’s update Dot View cases that let you draw themes for the cases. You can draw your own image, use an HTC template and go from there, or have the app create a Dot View image based on one of your photos.

With the impending launch of the One M9, it’s no surprise to see HTC release more of its custom apps into Google Play. It’s already got a bunch of them in there, and pushing the apps to Google Play makes for quick and easy updating in the future.
