UPDATE: Samsung Mobile has officially announced its March 1 Unpacked event on Twitter, and it's sent us an invitation too. We still don't know for sure what Samsung will announce, but one thing that is for certain is that March 1 is going to be big.
The start of March is going to be huge for mobile. We’ve already got MWC and HTC’s “utopia in progress” event on our schedules, and now we’ve got a Samsung shindig to add.
Samsung is sending out invitations [Google Translate] for a March 1 Unpacked event that’s going to take place in Barcelona, the same town that MWC is happening in. The event includes the phrase “What’s Next” along with a mysterious wavy line.
So what might this weird curvy line be hinting at? Samsung’s Unpacked events typically are meant for flagship hardware, and since it’s about time for a new Galaxy S flagship, there’s a chance that the Galaxy S6 could debut at this event. Whether this hump is part of the GS6, a Galaxy S Edge with a curved screen or two, something else entirely, or nothing at all remains to be seen.
What do you think that this event invitation is hinting at?
