Just a couple of days after the Moto G GPe got its Lollipop update, it’s time for another Google Play edition device to be bumped up to Android 5.0.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition’s update to Android 5.0 is now rolling out. The GS4 GPe is being bumped up to Android 5.0.0, not 5.0.1, and the update weighs in at 491.8MB. Included are all of the usual Lollipop goodies like Material Design, lock screen notifications, battery saver mode and more.
Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Google Play edition is one of the oldest GPe devices around, so it’s pretty awesome to see it getting Android 5.0. If you’ve got a GS4 GPe laying around, head into Settings > About Phone > System updates to see if you’ve got a Lollipop treat waiting for you.
