Amazon Fire TV price slashed to $69 for Cyber Monday

After slashing the Fire phone’s price down to just $199 without a commitment late last month, Amazon is now selling the Fire TV at a hefty discount.

The Amazon Fire TV typically costs $99, but Amazon is now selling the set-top box for $69. For that price, you’ll get the Fire TV box itself, which includes a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 8GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, dual-band and dual-antenna Wi-Fi and an HDMI port. The Fire TV also comes voice remote that can take verbal commands but also includes physical buttons for those times that you’re in a more tactile mood.

Amazon’s Fire TV includes support for many popular streaming services, such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Crackle, Spotify, Pandora, Watch ESPN, YouTube, Twitch and more. The box also supports video games purchased from the Amazon Appstore, which includes Grand Theft Auto III, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Minecraft Pocket Edition. Amazon offers a Fire Game Controller for $39.99 that can be used with the Fire TV.

There’s no shortage of devices that can hook up to your TV and stream content from a number of services. The Fire TV is one of the more powerful streaming boxes available today, which is especially nice if you plan to do any gaming with it, and the Cyber Monday price of $69 makes it even more interesting.

Do you own an Amazon Fire TV? If not, are you going to snag one at this $69 Cyber Monday price?
