Samsung Milk Video now available, aims to help you discover and share online videos

Seven months after Samsung introduced its Milk Music service, the company is now making the jump to video.

Milk Video is Samsung’s new video service for Galaxy devices. The service aims to make it easy for Samsung Galaxy users “to find and share the best and most talked about online videos.”

Samsung says that Milk Video will learn and improve its content recommendations each time users access it by observing who users follow and like, what they repost and which videos they dismiss. At launch, content from companies like Condé Nast, Funny Or Die, Red Bull, Vevo and VICE will be offered, including some exclusive content.

Milk Video is now available for download from Google Play. It’s compatible with the Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Mega, Galaxy S III, Galaxy S III mini, Galaxy S 4, Galaxy S 4 mini and Galaxy S5.

Samsung Milk Video looks like it fits in nicely with Milk Music and Samsung’s general software design. And while the service could work nicely for discovering and sharing videos, it might be tough to Samsung to get people to use Milk Video over YouTube, which is already a well-known name for viewing and sharing clips.

If you have a compatible Samsung device, be sure to tell us what you think of Milk Video!
